Kennesaw State University Digital Publication Design Portfolio
I am thrilled to present these highlights from my design portfolio created Spring Semester 2024 for Kennesaw State University in the Digital Publication Design Course. Each sample of this portfolio represents a unique blend of creativity, technical skill, and strategic thinking. As I continue to evolve as a digital publication designer, I look forward to leveraging these experiences to create impactful and memorable designs that resonate with audiences across various digital platforms.

Self Introduction Social Media Graphic
The task was to create a vibrant and eye-catching Instagram social media graphic that represents my personal brand and professional identity. The graphic incorporates a picture of myself and the illustration reflects my personality, along with visual elements that showcase my education and interests.
To fulfill the project requirements, I utilized Adobe Express to create the social media graphic. I incorporated a striking color palette featuring vibrant pinks, yellows, and blues to infuse the design with energy and reflect my dynamic personality. The Quicksand font was selected for its friendly vibe, aligning with my professional approach and personal style.
The goal of this social media graphic is to craft a visually compelling representation of my personal brand and professional identity. It serves as a means to engage my audience, convey my multifaceted interests, and leave a memorable impression. The graphic aims to be disseminated across various social media platforms to connect with a diverse audience and reinforce my professional roles and capabilities.

Earth Day Banner Ad
The task was to create a web ad for the Marietta Daily Journal’s digital site, specifically timed around Earth Day. The focus of the ad is to target the Cobb County community to encourage the community to take action and participate in a local sustainability initiative for environmentally responsible practices.
I utilized Adobe InDesign to design a visually captivating web ad. This involved integrating an image of a person riding a bike against a backdrop of natural scenery, the 365 of Learning Service & Sustainability logo, and a call to action, along with details such as the date, time, and website for further information, all using the Montserrat font.
The goal of the ad is to encourage the community to take action, by participating in a local sustainability initiative, or support for environmentally responsible practices. This particular graphic includes a call to action to register for KSU’s Outdoor Adventure bike run on April 24, 2024 Earth Day.

OwlTV Graphic
The project required the creation of a digital graphic for KSU’s OwlTV network, in collaboration with EcoOwls and RCHSS. The design specifications included using at least one photograph, integrating EcoOwls and 365 Days of Learning & Service logos, and employing appropriate design elements such as KSU’s color, white space, type elements to create an appealing publication, and a call to action.
I utilized Adobe InDesign to create a dynamic and visually engaging digital graphic for KSU’s OwlTv network. Incorporating the design requirement of using at least one photograph, I carefully curated an image that resonated with the theme of indoor rock climbing to capture the attention of the target audience. To drive engagement and encourage action, I included a QR code as a call-to-action element, directing students to sign up for the indoor rock climbing event at the KSU campus through a seamless and modern digital experience.
In alignment with KSU’s sustainability initiative, this creative ad was designed to promote the outdoor adventure program, encouraging students to engage in eco-friendly and sustainable recreational activities. By emphasizing the indoor rock climbing event as part of the university’s sustainability efforts, the ad aimed to inspire students to participate in environmentally conscious and enriching experiences while supporting the overarching mission of sustainability at KSU.

LinkedIn Infographic
The project requires the creation of a visually compelling infographic for LinkedIn using InDesign and Illustrator. The design elements include a color scheme matching the KSU’s branding concept, high-resolution graphics, and activation of at least one custom font, while the text elements encompass a prominent headline, presentation of at least four different pieces of data in distinct ways, a clear explainer, callouts providing details of specific elements, an APA Style source line identifying the data’s origin, and a byline crediting the artist.
For this project, I utilized InDesign and Illustrator to craft a visually compelling LinkedIn infographic tailored to KSU’s branding concept. The headline was strategically designed to be big, bold, and clear, effectively capturing attention and guiding the viewer through the content. The data section created in Illustrator showcased different pieces of data including pie charts, bar charts, and illustrative elements with accompanying text. To drive engagement and encourage action, I included a QR code as a call-to-action element to drive traffic to KSU’s Outdoor Adventure program.
This infographic aimed to showcase the impact of outdoor activities and recreation contributing 2.1% to Georgia’s GDP. By sharing this engaging visual content, the objective was to raise awareness and promote the university’s Outdoor Adventure Program, inviting the audience to explore the enriching experiences offered.
Creative Resume and Cover Letter
For this project, the focus was on personal brand development. Emphasis was placed on identifying colors and typography that reflect my identity as a writer, designer, and professional communicator. The task involved sourcing a job posting relevant to my current career or desired career path. This project requires a least one custom font into the design, and featuring a QR code linking to the LinkedIn page.
I leveraged the capabilities of InDesign and Illustrator to craft this resume and cover letter. The color choices were meticulously selected to harmonize with the aesthetic of my digital online website. I incorporated a profile image and integrated a QR code linking to my website. I used the Bright Darling Script for my signature, ensuring a cohesive and professional visual presentation.
The primary goal of my creative resume is to establish a strong, visually compelling representation of my brand as a writer, designer, and professional communicator. My design aims to capture attention, communicate my expertise, and leave a lasting impression on potential employers or clients. By effectively integrating my unique color palette, typography, and visual elements, the creative resume seeks to authentically showcase my skills and qualifications while aligning with industry standards and professional expectations.
